I was walking around school today and there was many young people giving cards and saying "happy valentines" but it brought to my mind what is love? " 1-Corinthians 13:4-7 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
Straight away this came to mind and i asked myself once again how many of these people surrounding me in my day to day life actually know what True love really is.
I believe the only place we can really find love like this is in God, But never the less thats does not mean that we shouldn't have relationships.

Reflection,
This week has been a time of reflection for me, i have met some of my old thought about where i was without God,
Firstly in the week i saw my old friends, it was so nice to just have a catch and see where they are in life and what has changed. It's surprised me to see how some people never change and some people have changed so much, and one told me that i had an influence on them changing because of the way i spoke to them "you treated me with respect", which is hard to find these days.
As i met up with my old friends it brought back them memory's of when i didn't have God in my life i was a mess big style, now have God my life has changed. I thought to my self where would i be with out God, and by doing this i realised how great it was to have God in my life and moving forward with him.
"Its not always bad to reflect on the past you should try it sometime"

You Can't Buy Beauty In A Tin!!!
As i look around me there are women, girls and even children being dressed up in make up, however, we have to ask ourselves are they doing it because of the media, to hide behind emotion?
As i have to so many to so many different girls that to be beautiful its not all about how you look its about how you feel and who you are as a person.
So many people these days dive into relationships because they don't know what they are looking for in life, but i say you need to find your cause in life before you have a relationship because there is no point trying to find a cause in someone you love because it won't work. You need to know who you are and where you are going before you can properly commit to a relationship :)
What are you thoughts it would be really interesting to know?

My first might mens meeting!
As i got on in the car to go to the mens meeting for this week i was slightly anxious but never the less i got in and off we go. We went to pick Valentine, Edward and Dave R, after picking up these guys we made our way to the men's meeting which was a challenge as we got lost on the way and took two wrong turns but it's all fun :).
Anyway back to the meeting we arrived at Tom's about 7.10 were we greeted with the offer of a hot drink and some nice fresh pizza :D (My favourite) and we all took a seat and some lovely pizza. As we sit around and share story's of life i am stunned here i am still a boy sat in a room of men sharing my youthful story of life.
Do you know what i think, that i'm very lucky (god) to be where i am today and i am very great full that i have had so many opportunities to do great things with my life :)

Living life to the MAX!
Many times i have found my-self sat in front of the computer screen saying "this is not the life for me staring at a computer screen" The thing you have to ask your self, what is for me? Being a Christian i find that the first place to go is the church to find your true meaning in life. When you find that you can trust in God he will entrust to you the small things in life and then it will carry on and God will entrust you with the bigger things in life. I found that God has entrusted me with a few small things and consequently he has entrusted me with the bigger things in my life, like looking to build a youth group in Gloucester city.

A day in the life of a student?
A day in the life of a student is a curios thing, no student rely knows what going to happen that day who will set homework, how well they do in there lessons, what they will do when they get home. Let me tell you a a day in the life of a student is crazy weird thing.
Most students start they day dragging themselves out of bed and deciding whether to have breakfast or to have an extra five minutes in bed, personally i would rather have five minutes in bed. Once we (the students) make it out of bed we have to decide we want to do whether to get dressed straight away or stroll around the house.
Once we make it into school, college or even uni it becomes twice as difficult because we have to try and remember what lessons we have were these lessons are and what work we have to hand in. The whole day is a thing of confusement and excitement. Where many students think that school is boring, i believe that school is one of the most exciting places in the world it's were learn all of our social skills, and were meet our friends and were we learn all the things that set us up for life.
When we get home or to the place were we are living it gets exciting there is the choice between doing work or going to bed or going out to see your friends. Personally my favourite is doing a few hours work which isn't my favourite bit of the evening then maybe go out for a while this rarely happens as i am usually very tired, and the best bit of the evening is when you know you've got all your work done and you know that you can curl up in bed.
This is an average day in the life of a student (well me anyway)

My first ever post :)
Hey,
So as this is my first ever post i thought i would introduce my self and tell you what i'm about.
So as you have gathered my name is Ewen i'm 18. I'm at Bournside school in Cheltenham, i'm studying Politics, sociology and philosophy. I go to Church in Gloucester at D7 church which is tottally awesome :).
I feel that i have changed my life massively over the past few years.
In my Blog i will be telling you what it is like in the day to day life of a student, a child of God and what God is talking to me about and how i am finding my relationship with my Daddy :)
